Kawasaki Racing formally presented their 2008 MotoGP project at the MotoGP Official Test this weekend, with Team Manager Michael Bartholemy introducing riders Anthony West and John Hopkins to an expectant press pack at the southern Spanish circuit of Jerez.

‘Team Green' proudly displayed the new logo of their recently acquired sponsor Monster – a popular energy drink - which they will carry on the 2008 livery.

Then, after Kawasaki's Racing Director Ichiro Yoda had expressed his high hopes for a positive season, in which the team are sure to be pushing hard for their first ever premier class victory, Bartholemy continued the enthusiastic prose as he spoke to motogp.com.

The Belgian team boss commented: "For sure, the atmosphere in the team is quite good. We've had some good tests, we have a new rider and everybody is positive. The winter testing season was quite good for everyone and we're looking forward to the new season."
