Wednesdays combined 250cc and 125cc test session at Jerez saw the riders taking a cautious approach to their practice work early in the day, following further rain overnight in Andalucia.

Due to cloud cover, cool temperatures and the lack of any wind, the wet track in the morning was not drying out despite the rain holding off before another brief shower just before midday meaning only the use of wet tyres has been possible thus far.

Of the 250cc riders present only 16 lapped in the session which concluded at 2.50pm local time Lukas Pesek (Auto Kelly CP) topping the timesheet with a lap of 151.624.

In the single cylinder class it was yesterdays fastest man Raffaele de Rosa (Onde 2000 KTM) who was on the pace again with a lap of 153.046, while several riders suffered tumbles including Simone Corsi, Tomoyoshi Koyama, Jules Cluzel, Robert Muresan and Marc Marquez. All were ok other than Marquez who has been taken to a nearby hospital for an examination on an injured wrist.

In the late afternoon the sun arrived, creating dry patches on the still wet track and meaning that use of intermediate tyres may be possible in the respective 250cc and 125cc sessions.
