Pepe Team Toth hold presentation in Madrid

The Globalia factory in Madrid last week played host to the presentation of one of Aprilia's top 250cc teams.

The Globalia headquarters in Madrid last week played host to the presentation of one of Aprilia's top 250cc teams. Pepe Team Toth are the latest incarnation of the structure supporting expected 250cc title challenger Hector Barbera and sophomore rider Imre Toth, now with title sponsorship from the Spanish Pepe group.

Both riders were in attendance at the presentation, unveiling a new livery design for their respective Aprilia machines. The team colours for 2008 are an intriguing mix of plain white and red dalmation spots, a combination also present on the riders' leathers.

"It's a bit silly, but the company mascot reminds me a bit of me!" said Barbera at the event. "The sunglasses, crazy hairstyle…the whole chilled out and fun style is something I try to have. When I tried my new leathers and helmet I felt very at ease." Joining the quarter litre class competitors were Team Owner Imre Toth Sr., Pepe Group Director General Miguel de Lucas and Directors of PepeTravel and PepePhone Lorenzo Perez & Pedro Serrahima.

Pepe Team Toth will have their final preseason test next week in Qatar, at which their distinctive livery will stand out yet further under the floodlights of Losail. Barbera is looking forward to the event, and to the races themselves.

"I think that this is the year in which things are coming together for me to have a great season. I love the new bike, and I've been on a strict preseason program to be on top form," said the Spaniard.
