Just days after the Gran Premio bwin.com de España the 125cc team Onde 2000 KTM this week officially launched their 2008 project, with an evening celebration in Madrid.
The team's two riders, Pablo Nieto and Raffaele de Rosa, were of course in attendance alongside some familiar famous faces, such as Pablo Nieto's multi-World Champion father Angel, cousin Fonsi and the 500cc 1999 World Champion Alex Criville.
Director of the project, Pablo Nieto's brother Gelete, was also present at the event at the Spanish capital's Joy Eslava nightclub, as were the experienced Italians Giancarlo and Mirko Cecchini who are key members of the Onde 2000 KTM technical staff.
The aims of the team are primarily to be competitive this season in the 125cc class and to provide the opportunity for Pablo Nieto to compete in the 250cc class in 2009 – the current season being his last in the single cylinder category.
