120 – Valentino Rossi's second place in Jerez was the 120th time he has finished in a point scoring position in the MotoGP, the same number of point scoring finishes as fellow five-time premier class World Champion Mick Doohan. Only Loris Capirossi, Carlos Checa and Alex Barros have had more point scoring finishes in the premier-class.

100 – Hungarian rider Imre Toth is scheduled to make his 100th Grand Prix start at Estoril. Toth made his debut at the Japanese Grand Prix in 2002 and made 80 starts in the 125cc class before moving up to the 250cc class at the start of last year. Toth has not missed a race since his debut.

6 – Rossi has gone six races without a win. This is his longest barren period without a victory since his debut premier class triumph at Donington in 2000.

6 – At the first two races of the year six different riders have finished on the podium in the 125cc class.

6 - Estoril is one of just six circuits on this year's calendar where Ducati have not yet had a MotoGP win. The others are Le Mans, Mugello, Assen, Sachsenring and Indianapolis - which is being used for the first time this year.
