Corsi fastest in 125cc morning session

Simone Corsi opened a belated second 125cc practice session as the fastest rider in the class, ahead of Jack&Jones WRB teammate Nico Terol. The World Championship leader clocked a time of 1´46.299, nearly two tenths of a second quicker than Terol on a track artificially dried out to create safer conditions.

Belson Derbi´s Joan Olive was third fastest, ahead of provisional poleman Mike di Meglio and the British duo of Danny Webb and Bradley Smith. The latter duo both had their problems yesterday, with Smith experiencing handling problems with his Polaris World Aprilia and Webb losing a toenail in a crash.

The top ten was completed by Onde 2000 KTM´s Raffaele de Rosa, Aspar rider Sergio Gadea, Friday afternoon crasher Tomoyoshi Koyama and Italian I.C. team man Andrea Iannone. The surprise of the morning was a lowly 20th place for Gabor Talmacsi, the reigning World Champion and holder of the circuit record.
