Day two at the bwin.com Grande Premio de Portugal commenced with the weather conditions in complete contrast to Friday´s wind and rain, with blue skies and virtually no breeze, but despite the clearer weather the start of Saturday´s proceedings was delayed due to overnight dew.

The start of the second 125cc free practice was delayed by 30 minutes, while the MotoGP morning practice was therefore put back from 10am to 10.25am and the 250cc run from 11.15am to 11.35am.

A wet patch on the final corner of the Estoril circuit, where Valentino Rossi crashed on Friday, meant stewards had to dry the area before the riders could take to the track.

After a dry run on Friday afternoon day one´s fastest rider, Repsol Honda´s Dani Pedrosa, and the majority of the MotoGP field will hope any remaining moisture quickly evaporates and that the improved weather continues throughout the day on Saturday.

Indeed, the riders in all three classes will hope for as much uninterrupted preparation as possible as they continue readying themselves for tomorrow´s third race of the season at a highly technical track, where there was no winter testing.

MotoGP qualifying practice takes place at 1.55pm local time, sandwiched between the final QP runs for the 125cc class at 1.10pm and the 250cc session at 3.10pm – with all Saturday´s action covered live on motogp.com.
