Those European-based fans wishing to catch up with events at the Shanghai International Circuit will have to set their alarm clocks, with local time in China some 8 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). This means that the first practice sessions of the day on Friday 2nd May and Saturday 3rd May will take place at 3am for those in mainland Europe, and 2am in Great Britain.

On Sunday, the race action begins at 12pm local time, with the 125cc race moving back to its traditional opening spot. 250cc follows at 1:15pm, whilst the premier class headlines at 3pm.
