De Puniet reviews a session of two halves

De Puniet reviews a session of two halves

In contrast with many of the MotoGP riders, LCR Honda´s Randy de Puniet is not entirely looking forward to the dry weather predicted for Saturday and beyond in Mugello.

Randy de Puniet showed promise on the fully wet asphalt of the second MotoGP Free practice session, but is well aware that a change in conditions will leave him effectively back to square one. The Frenchman was the eleventh fastest rider in the combined standings, and will be aiming to improve on his worst qualifying performance of the year at Le Mans with a more favourable position in Mugello.

Randy de Puniet – 11th

`Basically we can cut the afternoon´s session in two parts: the first part was completely wet and I was one of the fastest riders in these conditions. It was easy for me to lap with a fast rhythm because had a very good feeling with the overall package. When the track started to dry up I did not feel enough comfortable on the bike. This is something that we must improve. I know that the weather could change for tomorrow and it's better for everybody. We will do our best to set up the bike in dry conditions in the morning free session". ´
