Italian 125cc facts and figures

A quick rundown of the single cylinder key stats ahead of the 125cc race at Mugello on Sunday.

- Raffaele de Rosa starts from pole for the first time in his Grand Prix career. His previous best qualifying was second on the grid in Australia last year. De Rosa, who is making his 56th GP start, is still looking for his first podium having twice finished in fourth place.

- This is the first pole in the 125cc class for KTM since Mika Kallio was on pole at the Australian GP in 2006.

- Gabor Talmacsi starts from his best grid position since he was also second on the grid in the opening race of the year in Qatar. Talmacsi´s first ever Grand Prix win was at Mugello in 2005.

- Following his victory in France, Mike di Meglio leads the championship classification for the first time in his Grand Prix career.

- Pol Espargaro has equalled his best ever grid position (fourth) and starts from the front row for the first time this year.

- Sergio Gadea set a new lap record last year at Mugello on his way to finishing in second place.

- Nicolas Terol will be starting from his lowest grid position (ninth) of the year.
