Front end problem keeps Dovizioso occupied

Front end problem keeps Dovizioso occupied

Andrea Dovizioso expects to be a busy man on Saturday as he looks to fix a front end instability issue.

Eleventh place was not what Andrea Dovizioso was anticipating on the first day of practice for the Gran Premi Cinzano de Catalunya. The former 250cc racewinner at the Spanish circuit suffered from instability in the front end of his JiR Team Scot Honda bike, something that he admits will make things difficult on Saturday and Sunday.

Andrea Dovizioso - Eleventh

`The work we did today was focussed on solving the instability of the front-end of the bike, which I have experienced in different sections of the track. Mainly I feel this when entering corners and also in the middle of the corner. It´s very strong and this is why I cannot push very hard with the front and for this reason I am probably not using the bike in the proper way. I´ve tried to change some settings with the front forks but still the goal has not been reached. This factor slows down the whole job of choosing tyres for the race and this is why tomorrow we need to do a lot! We have a busy schedule! The team is doing a great job and I´m sure we can do better tomorrow also because apparently the weather seems as if it will be stable.´
