Folger takes another podium in Sachsenring

Jonas Folger had further success in his fourth race of 2008, at the Sachsenring last Sunday

Red Bull MotoGP Academy rider Jonas Folger took to the podium in his fourth race of 2008, at the Sachsenring in Germany. The home rider was second placed in the IDM national series race, behind compatriot Marcel Schrotter.

Folger started from third on the grid, and right from the beginning of the race he was amongst the frontrunners. He was eventually able to pass former 125cc World Championship rider Joey Litjens, but Schrotter proved to have too big of an advantage to overcome before the chequered flag fell.

The teenager has been using his third year in the Red Bull MotoGP Academy to try his luck at World Championship circuits, albeit in national series races. After a DNF in Le Mans, second in Mugello and a race in Donington called off due to wind, Folger´s latest challenge will take place this Sunday at Brno in the Alpe Adria championship.
