MotoGP pulls in at Assen after dash from Donington

Just three days after Sunday´s exciting races at Donington the MotoGP travelling circus has checked in at `the Cathedral of Motorcycling´ for this weekend´s A-Style TT Assen.

On a pleasant morning at the Assen circuit on Wednesday the MotoGP classes have reconvened for the ninth Grand Prix of the season in the north of the Netherlands at one of the most revered venues on the calendar.

With its great atmosphere and unique history Assen is a favourite with the riders and the pre-event press conference this afternoon at 4pm - on a Wednesday instead of a Thursday due to the tradition of Saturday racing at the Dutch track bring the event schedule forward by a day - will see Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner, Nicky Hayden, Loris Capirossi and Kawasaki´s MotoGP Competition Manager Michael Bartholemy previewing the action.

Meanwhile, a pre-event promotion earlier in the day will see Sylvain Guintoli, Anthony West, Yuki Takahashi and Hugo van den Berg visit the nearby Soesterberg Army base, where they will try a Desdemona simulator. The spatial disorientation simulator is unique in the world and is used for training for complex situations that may occur during military flight, driving or sailing.

The riders will be joined on the visit by World, European and Olympic Judo Champion, Mark Huizenga and the Judo World Champion Guillaum Elmont.
