Chesaux and Ravaioli join 125cc ranks

The WTR San Marino Team and Matteoni Racing both welcome new faces to their teams on a permanent basis as of the Alice Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland this weekend.

The single cylinder class welcomes two new young riders to the World Championship scene as of this weekend, with Bastien Chesaux joining the WTR San Marino Team and Marco Ravaioli coming into the Matteoni Racing squad, both on a full-time basis.

Chesaux is a 16 year-old Swiss competitor who comes into the WTR San Marino set-up as a permanent replacement for departing Italian rider Stefano Bianco, after making steady progress in the 125cc German Championship. He will join the 125 field with the support of his regular crew, originally from Swiss team MACH with whom he made his debut last year and raced in the early stages of the German championship this year.

For Matteoni meanwhile, 18 year-old Ravaioli replaces compatriot Roberto Lacalendola who was unable to score a point in his eight 2008 appearances.
