Capirossi receiving between-session treatment for abrasions

Loris Capirossi is doing everything within his power to recover from his recent injuries, undergoing treatment throughout the race weekend.

Loris Capirossi arrived in Sachsenring well aware that he would be competing at less than 100%, and has thus far been having difficulties in matching the form that he would like during practice for the Alice Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland.

Although fully recovered from his hand injury suffered at Barcelona, the forearm injury picked up upon his return to action two weeks ago in Assen is taking its toll on the Rizla Suzuki rider. Dr. Claudio Costa from the MotoGP Clinica Mobile has been working tirelessly with his fellow Italian over the past few days, and explained ahead of qualifying the current state of Capirossi´s condition.

`Loris has a big heart and passion for riding, and he can ride now only because of his courage,´ said the experienced medic.

`He still has a lot of pain in his forearm because of the abrasions he had in Assen, which we treat before every session. Every day he gets better, because riding, medication and protection can only help his recovery.´

Capirossi is currently twelfth in the combined free practice standings for Sunday´s race.
