Pedrosa to sit out Saturday morning Laguna practice

Pedrosa to sit out Saturday morning Laguna practice

The morning proceedings at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix saw thick fog at the Laguna Seca circuit in California and an announcement that Dani Pedrosa would not ride in the early free practice session.

Such was the lack of visibility on track at Laguna Seca on Saturday morning that an 8.45am U.S. AMA Superbike practice had to be cancelled as the fog cleared before the MotoGP third free practice session at 10am local time.

The morning will see Valentino Rossi and the rest of the MotoGP field – Dani Pedrosa excepted – attempt to match Casey Stoner´s electric pace thus far, the World Champion having dominated Friday´s action.

Pedrosa´s injuries from Sachsenring mean he will not ride on Saturday morning, having ridden in significant discomfort on Friday, with a decision to be made later today with regard to the Catalan youngster´s participation in qualifying this afternoon.
