Intense testing sessions scheduled at Brno

The MotoGP teams will be remaining at the venue of this weekend´s Cardion ab Grand Prix Ceske republiky for testing sessions on Monday, with some staying on until Tuesday.

Monday´s MotoGP test session will see a number of 250cc teams joining the premier class squads as they stay on at Brno to continue the developments of their respective racing prototypes.

In addition to all ten MotoGP outfits, Emmi Cafe Latte, Lotus Aprilia, Mapfre Aspar, Polaris World, Red Bull KTM and Team Toth Aprilia from the 250cc class will all have a presence at the Czech circuit on Monday, in what will be a busy day on track.

On Monday evening Tech 3 Yamaha and San Carlo Honda Gresini are expected to depart, though they may be joined in calling proceedings to an early halt if additional teams complete their workloads on the first day.

HRC test rider Tady Okada will share the Honda work schedule with Dani Pedrosa as the Catalan rider continues his comeback from injury, while Ducati tester Niccolo Canepa will be in attendance to assist the regular riders from the Italian team.

Ducati´s World Champion Casey Stoner admits he has relatively little new material to try out, though Bridgestone will provide some new rubber for him to put on his ever-evolving Desmosedici GP8 – with the GP9 not expected to be wheeled-out again until towards the end of the year.

World Championship leader Valentino Rossi also has some Bridgestone homework to do and will be testing some new electronics to allow earlier opening of the throttle onboard his Yamaha M1.

The Michelin contingency, meanwhile, are certain to be gathering as much data as possible in order to make improvements following another disappointing weekend at round twelve.
