Barbera warms up with fastest time in 250cc session

The top time in the 250cc warmup went to Hector Barbera at the IMS track.

Hector Barbera headed the 250cc warmup in the second dry morning session at Indianapolis, putting down a 1´45.951 lap of the IMS circuit onboard his Team Toth Aprilia RSA. The Spaniard was some two-tenths of a second quicker than second placed Hiroshi Aoyama in the run, and starts from the front row of the grid for the quarter-litre showdown.

Also on the first line, Alex Debon was third quickest in the session, ahead of Misano racewinner Alvaro Bautista, Yuki Takahashi, Aleix Espargaro and series leader Marco Simoncelli –who will lead off the race from pole position for the fourth time in 2008.

Julian Simon, Hector Faubel and Rattapark Wilairot completed the top ten in the session.
