Rain again as Motegi action gets underway

Rain again as Motegi action gets underway

MotoGP´s rain-washed season continued at Motegi on Friday morning as light showers marked the start of the A-Style Grand Prix of Japan.

The fifteenth Grand Prix weekend of the year has commenced in Japan with yet more rain for the 125cc riders and their teams to deal with, in their early Friday morning free practice session.

Although the precipitation was not heavy it provides another challenge for the World Championship participants with yet more changeable weather conditions predicted over the rest of the weekend – as has so often been the case this year.

However, following the extended free practice sessions at the new addition to the MotoGP calendar last time out at Indianapolis, the three Grand Prix classes return to their normal time schedule this weekend.

After the 125cc and MotoGP runs this morning the 250cc riders will emerge for their first outing since the Sunday morning warm-up at Indy – following their cancelled IMS race - with riders across all categories hoping for as little distraction as possible from the weather as round fifteen plays out in the Far East.
