Crivillé enjoys NSR500 Motegi demonstration lap

In a special event to mark ten years of MotoGP racing at Motegi on Saturday former World Champion Alex Crivillé rode a demonstration lap on his old Honda NSR500 title-winning bike.

As part of the A-Style Grand Prix of Japan celebrations to mark ten years of GP races at the Twin Ring circuit of Motegi, the 1999 World Champion Crivillé undertook a demonstration lap of the bike he used in his title-winning season – the famous Honda NSR500.

The machine was one of the best performing bikes ever in the World Championship and also brought Crivillé´s old rival Mick Doohan five World titles from 1994-98, before the Spaniard ended the Australian´s run of dominance.

On riding the NSR500 again Crivillé remarked, `I am very happy to be riding at this track again after ten years. For me the NSR500 was the best bike I ever rode, and all the fans remember the NSR because it was a fantastic bike. I enjoyed it very much. Everyone remembers Mick´s victories with the bike and it was a big part of my career.´
