Riders take in Melbourne stop en route to Phillip Island

A group of illustrious MotoGP stars, including Aussie hero and 2007 World Champion Casey Stoner, delighted the crowds in Melbourne´s Federation Square at a special event earlier this week.

Happy to do their bit to promote MotoGP´s visit to their homeland Ducati´s 2007 MotoGP title winner Casey Stoner, Suzuki´s Chris Vermeulen and Kawasaki´s Anthony West received a warm welcome when they hit the centre of Melbourne on Tuesday, for a meet and greet with an enthusiastic group of Aussie MotoGP fans.

In addition to the Australian trio, Ducati-bound 2006 World Champion Nicky Hayden, double 250cc title winner Jorge Lorenzo and the popular Alice Team rider Toni Elias were also in attendance for a series of interviews, press conferences and autograph sessions in the Victorian capital, before they headed off in the direction of Phillip Island.
