Race day at the Polini Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix commenced with clear blue skies at the Sepang International Circuit.

Temperatures of around 25°C before the start of the Sunday morning warm-up sessions and humidity levels of around 89% meant it was a typical start to race day at the Polini Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

Despite the clear skies the World Championship participants will be aware that conditions can change rapidly at Sepang and with forecasts stating that there is a 77% chance of precipitation dry morning warm-ups could be followed by rain-affected races.

Following the change in the regular Sunday schedule in Australia, timings revert to normal today, with the 125cc race commencing in the customary 11am timeslot, followed by the 250cc contest at 12.15 - in which Marco Simoncelli could clinch the title - and the MotoGP race at 2pm local time.
