Pedrosa continues to shine in Sepang warmup

Dani Pedrosa led the way in the 25 minute MotoGP Sunday warmup session.

Sepang poleman Dani Pedrosa continued from where he left off with the quickest time in the MotoGP warmup run, the only rider to go round in under 2´02. The Spaniard was less than half a second off his qualifying time with a 2´01.921 lap of the Malaysian circuit, in turn a further half-second quicker than the Sunday session´s second placed rider, Shinya Nakano.

2008 World Champion Valentino Rossi, JiR Team Scot´s Andrea Dovizioso and Rossi´s teammate Jorge Lorenzo –the latter two involved in a fight for the Rookie of the Year honour, also placed in the top five, with 2007 racewinner Casey Stoner, Nicky Hayden, James Toseland, Colin Edwards and Randy de Puniet also in the fastest ten in the session.

The Polini Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix takes place at 2pm local time.
