Schwantz goes on Trial training day in Spain

Former MotoGP World Champion Kevin Schwantz was back on two wheels last week.

MotoGP Legend Kevin Schwantz went back to his roots last week, swinging his leg over a Trial bike for a day of training in Spain. The 1993 MotoGP World Champion, who began his riding career in Trial and motocross competition alongside his more famous roadracing exploits, joined six-time Trial World Champion Adam Raga at Rellinars in a gap in their respective schedules.

Riding GAS GAS machinery, the same as that used by Raga to claim the runner-up spot in the 2008 Indoor and Outdoor World Championships, the duo spent a pleasant day in the Spanish sunshine. For Raga, the experience was certainly one to remember.

`Myself and Kevin know each other very well; I love his charisma, and going out to train with him is like a prize in itself!´ enthused the Spaniard.

Schwantz has been kept busy in 2008 as mentor for the Red Bull AMA U.S. Rookies, training aspiring talents for a roadracing career.
