125cc podium reactions

Sunday, 5 October 2008

The top three in Australia, headed by new 125cc World Champion Mike di Meglio, review their respective races.

Mike di Meglio – Race Winner

`It was a very nice race for me; at every practice I finished in first position. The bike was working perfectly all weekend, and in the race it was magnificent. I didn´t feel any sliding. Thanks to my team, we worked hard all year for this result. I don´t think of myself as a World Champion right now, but tonight I think that I will understand it more.´

Stefan Bradl – Second Placed

`Second place was very hard today; I got a really bad start and was pushing a lot. Olive crashed in front of me and I was lucky not to follow him. Gabor and Iannone were with me and they were quite fast, but my bike was quite fast too. I made a gap and controlled it, but I had rear tyre problems and was sliding a lot. Mike was fastest all weekend, so congratulations to him. Six races and five times on the podium is really good for me.´

Gabor Talmacsi – Third placed

`First of all, congratulations to Mike and to his team. This race makes me very happy, because I never get good results here! Today with my wrist Iannone could pass me on all braking points, so I used power and the slipstream to get on the podium. There are two races left, and I will try to get my wrist better and I never give up.´
