Marco Simoncelli – Race Winner

`Im the happiest guy in the world! It´s fantastic to win my first 250cc grand prix here in Italy. The race was so difficult; on the first few laps Alvaro Bautista was very fast and it was difficult to stay with him. He made a mistake and I was able to overtake him for first. With Hector Barbera it was a very hard battle. His engine was more powerful and on the last lap I tried not to give him the slipstream, but he was too close. I´m sorry for him but I´m happy for myself!´

Alex Debon – Second Place

`I´m very happy, I didn't expect this. All weekend we had a multitude of electrical problems. I´m very happy to do this in front of an Aprilia crowd; thanks to all the Aprilia guys who are working hard all the time to get us here today, even if they couldn´t all come to see this result.´

Thomas Luthi – Third Place

`It was a very hard battle. I´m happy with everything. It´s been a difficult year and a half trying to get on the podium. Alex Debon was very strong, so I couldn't make a break, then I made a small mistake at the end so he got in front for second.´
