250cc top three review exciting Catalunya battle

Marco Simoncelli, Alvaro Bautista and Hector Barbera were in close proximity during the 250cc race, and were side by side once more on the quarter litre podium.

Marco Simoncelli – Race Winner

`A fantastic race; I´m very happy with my first ever consecutive wins. The race was very difficult because Bautista had great pace, and for me it was very difficult to stay with him. I pushed and on the last lap I managed to win when Alvaro made a mistake.´

Alvaro Bautista – Second Place

`At the beginning of the race I wanted to keep a good line and not go so fast, then push more. On the last lap I tried to use all the corner but made a mistake, I went wide and couldn't do anything to win. I wanted to win here for the crowd, it was important for me, but I´m happy to have more points than in the last race.´

Hector Barbera – Third Place

`We did a lot of tests this weekend on traction control, but maybe didn´t spend enough time on tyres. I made a step forward at this circuit, which I haven't been great at. It´s not the result I really wanted, but it´s a podium nonetheless.´
