A Donington selection of 125cc facts and figures

The single cylinder class comes under the spotlight in this list of key statistics for the 125cc category at the bwin.com British Grand Prix.

- Simone Corsi starts from pole for only the second time in his Grand Prix career. His other pole was in Portugal earlier in the year when he went on to win the race.

- Gabor Talmacsi´s ninth place finish in 2003 is his best result at the Donington Park circuit.

- Talmacsi will be aiming to be the first rider in the 125cc class this year to finish on the podium at three successive races.

- Sergio Gadea´s only other front row start this year was when he was on pole at Le Mans, where he only managed to finish 20th in the five lap re-started race.

- Scott Redding is the first British rider to qualify on the front row in the 125cc class at his home Grand Prix since Alex Bedford was third on the grid in 1988.

- The best ever race result in the 125cc class at Donington by a British rider was the sixth place finish achieved by Kris Galatowicz in 1988.

- Fifteen year-old Marc Marquez has qualified in eighth place on the grid and as the top KTM rider in only his sixth Grand Prix start.

- Mike di Meglio, Stefan Bradl and Pol Espargaro are the only three riders in the 125cc class to have scored points at every race so far in 2008.
