Alice Team turn `Eco Team´ for solar energy venture

Continuing the movement to improve the environmental friendliness of the MotoGP World Championship, the Alice Team have announced their conversion to solar power for daily operations. Described as the creation of an `Eco Team´, a collaboration between the Ducati satellite outfit and the Pramac (generator manufacturer) and Prosolia (natural resources provider) companies is leading the way in off-track renewable energy.

A solar panel fitted to the Alice Team truck is the central point of the initiative, generating the electricity needed for the everyday running of the garage. This in turn reduces the amount of pollutant energy used and the CO2 emitted on a typical race weekend.

Those in the MotoGP paddock will be able to see the amount of solar energy generated through a display on a specially mounted Alice Team screen.
