Brno awakes to wet Saturday morning

As the 125cc riders took to the track for the opening free practice session of Saturday morning at Brno they encountered wet conditions after heavy overnight rainfall.

After spots of rain during the day on Friday there was a downpour in the late afternoon, with more precipitation early this morning, meaning that ten out of the twelve MotoGP rounds this season have now seen the riders dealing with wet weather riding.

When the MotoGP riders take to the track for their final practice run this morning, before qualifying this afternoon, it will be interesting to see whether the conditions level things out after a Bridgestone dominated Friday.

Indeed, on Japanese rubber yesterday World Championship leaders Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner were streets ahead of their competitors as Michelin equipped rivals such as Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo found the going tough as they attempted to bounce back from their respective injuries - so it will be interesting to see if such patterns continue on Saturday.
