Colin Edwards and Yamaha hold online charity auction

Fans have a chance to bid for a full set of equipment which will be worn by Colin Edwards at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix, in addition to tickets for the Californian race weekend.

Yamaha Motor Corporation U.S. will once again offer an opportunity to bid for a set of riding gear to be worn by Colin Edwards at the upcoming visit of MotoGP to Laguna Seca.

The equipment will be presented by the `Texas Tornado´ himself at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix, with all proceeds raised going to the Joe Parkhurst Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The worthy cause is a motorcycle industry-based initiative in honour of the founder of Cycle World Magazine and supports the scholarship programme of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, which provides an avenue into higher education for survivors of childhood brain tumours.

The Colin Edwards package will include a full set of gear worn by the American during the weekend, including his leathers, his helmet, boots and gloves.

It will also include a pair of three-day general admission passes for the entire Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix weekend, which is to take place at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca from 18th-20th - and a pair of passes to an exclusive team party on the Friday evening.

The auction will be conducted on eBay starting Friday 4th July and continuing until 12 noon Pacific Time on Sunday 13th July.
