Corsi confirms for Pons Racing WRB

One of the favourites for the 125cc world title in 2009, Italian rider Simone Corsi will continue with the team for whom he became a lower cylinder category standout over the past twelve months. Corsi will also have some added experience in his side of the Pons Racing WRB garage, which he will once again share with Nico Terol.

Team Principal Sito Pons has confirmed the arrival of Pietro Caprara, most recently part of Andrea Dovizioso´s rookie MotoGP season in the JiR Team Scot structure, as Corsi´s Chief Mechanic, although little else will change for his Roman charge.

`I think that the new incorporation will be an important step for us in 125cc, as we will have progressed on the technical side for two riders with factory bikes.´

The second official machine will go to Terol for the first time in the Spaniard´s career, as he looks to build on a breakthrough season. According to Pons: `He will have the same team, technicians and a new Aprilia RSA, and we are working to improve for what will be a highly competitive year. I think that we will fight for the World Championship.´
