Simone Corsi was the fastest rider of the 125cc warmup, held on a wet Sachsenring track.

Simone Corsi was the quickest rider in a wet 125cc warmup for the Alice Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland, edging out Sunday poleman Gabor Talmacsi and dealing an important psychological blow to his rivals. The Jack&Jones WRB rider –not regarded as a wet weather standout- clocked a time of 1´37.111 as the lower cylinder category competitors put the final touches to their setups.
Talmacsi was less than a tenth of a second down on Corsi, followed by current World Championship leader Mike di Meglio. All three have won races this season, and will start today´s race from one of the front two rows.
Home rider Sandro Cortese and Onde 2000 KTM´s Raffaele de Rosa were also close to Corsi´s time, whilst final front row starter Bradley Smith was sixth fastest.
