Day two in France commences on damp track

Conditions will be tricky to judge for the World Championship participants on Saturday morning at Le Mans with the cool temperatures and moisture on track meaning wet or intermediate settings are likely to be required.

As was the case where intermittent rainfall kept the teams thinking on their feet in China and Portugal, conditions are likely to remain changeable on Saturday afternoon, though clearer weather is forecast for Sunday.

In addition to the usual morning free practice and afternoon qualifying runs today at Le Mans there will also be some younger and older riders on track with the fourth race of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup taking place at 4.20pm, followed by a Jack Findlay tribute race at 5.40pm, featuring MotoGP Legend Phil Read.

The strong opening day performance of Dani Pedrosa in topping both Friday free practice timesheets means he will be amongst the favourites to take pole this afternoon when MotoGP qualifying takes place at 1.55pm. The likes of fellow championship front runners Jorge Lorenzo, Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner, alongside Shanghai poleman Colin Edwards will also be pushing for top grid slots.
