De Puniet brings it home ninth Down Under

LCR Honda´s Randy de Puniet has had an inconsistent season in 2008 and was therefore moderately pleased with his ninth place finish in the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix on Sunday, despite starting at the head of the second row on the grid.

`We could have finished in a better position but after five laps I got stuck behind Colin Edwards and could not pass him for eight laps. Then, when I caught him, the gap to the front was too big, so I just tried to keep my rhythm. At the end Colin overtook me on the straight with two laps to go. Anyway I am pretty satisfied about the job we did during the whole weekend because the overall package was good and we had the chance to fight for the top five positions.´
