Dovizioso out to trouble the lead pack in Donington

After two days of ups and downs, Andrea Dovizioso eventually managed the sixth fastest time in the MotoGP qualifying session for the bwin.com British Grand Prix. The Italian had topped the timesheet in the final free practice session, showing that he has the potential to trouble those on the first line of attack over race distance.

`I´m very happy because it´s the first time that I´m able to start from the second row; it´s really important for the race tomorrow. If it´s dry we will be fighting with the leading riders on the opening laps, and after that we´ll see,´said the JiR Team Scot rider, who finished fourth at the previous round in Catalunya.

`During the practice part of the session we made a small mistake and didn´t get the most out of it, but in the final minutes we were able to ride a few good laps. The riders are always competitive in MotoGP, so I am very happy with a second row.´

Dovizioso was the fastest qualifying satellite Honda rider, and even managed to place ahead of factory man and title contender Dani Pedrosa in the hour-long session.
