Fearless foursome sample Desdemona flight simulator

At the official pre-event promotion for the A-Style TT Assen on Wednesday Alice Team´s Sylvain Guintoli, Kawasaki´s Anthony West, JiR Team Scot 250cc rider Yuki Takahashi and Dutchman Hugo van den Berg of the 125cc Degraaf Grand Prix team visited the Soesterberg Army base, where they tried the Desdemona spatial disorientation simulator.

The Desdemona simulation facility is unique in the world has been developed by the Dutch organisation TNO Human Factors with their partners AMST System-technik and is used to replicate complex situations that may occur during military flight, driving or sailing.

Each of the riders tried their hand at F-16 flight simulation, with the machine giving them an idea of the types of g-forces military pilots undergo in fighter jets.

The riders were joined at the event by World, European and Olympic Judo Champion, Mark Huizenga and the World Judo Champion Guillaum Elmont, who train at Soesterberg and who will both represent the Netherlands at the Olympics in China later this year.
