GAS and HRC renew agreement for 2009 season
GAS and HRC are pleased to announce the renewal of their partnership, on the tenth anniversary of their first agreement in the premier-class of motorcycle sport.
GAS and HRC will tackle the 2009 MotoGP World Championship together again. GAS is a world leader in high quality casual clothing and therefore a natural partner to Repsol Honda, one of MotoGP´s most successful teams.
`I am very pleased to announce that HRC and GAS have reached agreement to continue our long and successful partnership in MotoGP racing,´ says Masumi Hamane, President of Honda Racing Corporation, `Our companies have enjoyed a mutually beneficial association for ten years, therefore reaching agreement for 2009 was more of a formality than a matter of negotiation. Both HRC and GAS set very high standards and produce ever-evolving products of the highest quality that appeal to a large market segment in which the client has a choice of many different products. We at HRC value the support we receive from GAS and, as always, we will do our best to reward their confidence with success in the MotoGP World Championship.´
`We are very happy to renew the agreement that sees the GAS brand stay with the official team of the world´s greatest motorcycle manufacturer,´ added Claudio Grotto, President and CEO of the Grotto SPA and the GAS brand. `We are very proud of this prestigious relationship. The GAS brand has featured on Honda´s factory bikes since 1998. This long-term partnership is a sign of mutual trust and a sharing of the values that characterise our brand.´
The GAS colour bearers in 2009 will be three-time World Champion Dani Pedrosa and former 125 World Champion and current MotoGP rookie Andrea Dovizioso.
