Guintoli comments on best result of 2008

A positive day for Sylvain Guintoli at the A-Style TT Assen saw the Frenchman record his first top ten finish of the year at the Dutch track.
Alice Team´s Sylvain Guintoli and Toni Elias review their efforts at Assen which resulted in tenth and twelfth place finishes respectively.
Sylvain Guintoli - tenth
`I am happy with how the weekend went overall and this is very important for us. I am sorry only because I thought I could have done better today. The race pace wasn´t the same as the past two days. I made a mistake when I was behind James Toseland and while trying to make up for it I went off track and lost a few seconds. Without that mistake I would have surely finished in front of him, if not even further up. It is strange because here and in Donington I did my best lap times in the last five laps of the race: I have to find the way to be much more competitive in the first laps. I must thank my technicians. They always give their best and we made it into the top ten thanks to them.´
Toni Elias - twelfth
`Today nothing went well. I didn´t enjoy it at all. We have to forget all we have done, in order to do much better in the second part of the championship. With the team, Ducati and Bridgestone I am sure we can improve. The only consolation I have is that I finally made it to finish a race in Assen in the premier class.´
