Indianapolis street signs honour MotoGP stars

A collection of street signs have been erected in downtown Indianapolis to honour America´s MotoGP World Champions and the current American riders in MotoGP.

A group of selected current and former MotoGP World Championship riders have been acknowledged in a collection of twelve street signs erected in downtown Indianapolis, to promote the inaugural Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix this week.

The street signs feature the names and race numbers of the following American riders, in various colours - Colin Edwards, Nicky Hayden, John Hopkins, Eddie Lawson, Wayne Rainey, Kenny Roberts, Kenny Roberts Jr., Kevin Schwantz, Freddie Spencer and Ben Spies.

Italian MotoGP star Valentino Rossi and reigning World Champion Casey Stoner, who will both be gunning for glory at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend, have also been acknowledged with their own signs.

The signs are located in the Wholesale District of downtown Indianapolis.
