Last race of the year for Red Bull MotoGP Academy riders

Red Bull MotoGP Academy trio Danny Kent, Cameron Beaubier and JD Beach were in competitive action for the last time in 2008 at the weekend as they took part in the 125cc race at the last round of the Spanish national championship (CEV Buckler) – held at the Grand Prix circuit of Jerez, in southern Spain´s Andalusia region.

It was Englishman Kent who enjoyed the best result of the three, crossing the line in eleventh place having started on the fifth row - in twentieth position.

There was less fortune for Beaubier, however, as he dropped back in the race from eighth on the grid due to a defective tyre, running off track at one stage and eventually retiring from the action rather than taking any unnecessary risks.

Beach gathered more experience in his fledgling career as he commenced the race on the tenth row and battled his way around a busy track to bring it home in 23rd place.
