Lorenzo avoids surgery on arm problem

After a day of post-race testing in Jerez, Jorge Lorenzo made the trip north to Barcelona for a brief examination on his arms at the Clinica Dexeus, with surgery on the Fiat Yamaha rider ruled out for the immediate future.

Lorenzo underwent a pressure test to identify the cause of some intense fatigue experienced after his first MotoGP races, with `arm pump´ -a common ailment amongst premier class riders- a prime suspect.

Dr. Xavier Mir, the specialist who has treated many of the MotoGP riders for various injuries in the past, analysed the 250cc World Champion's condition and decided that he would not need to go under the knife. The experienced doctor instead prescribed a physiotherapy routine for Lorenzo.
