With the new season underway and a superb race under his belt in Qatar, where he went from eighth on the grid to finish on the podium, Repsol Hondas Dani Pedrosa has launched an official blog on the repsolypf.com website.Every Monday throughout the 2008 World Championship Pedrosa will update his internet diary, although the young Spanish MotoGP star admits he finds it easier to ride his Honda RC212V than to write about his experiences.Nonetheless last years MotoGP class runner-up will try to keep his fans up-to-date on all the talk from inside his pit-box, his expectations for forthcoming races, his post-GP weekend analysis and the development of his Honda 800cc racing prototype. In the first edition of his new blog the 22 year-old described how it felt to make such a brilliant start to Sundays Commercialbank Grand Prix of Qatar race, which saw him lead on the first lap despite starting on the third row of the grid all whilst riding with a lingering hand injury.I know that one of the things that caught the eye in the GP was the start I made in the race. It was superb really, one of the best Ive ever managed. But I knew that my chances of getting a decent result were completely based on getting away well and I wanted to make a good start. My team had given 110% to provide me with a competitive bike so I wanted to respond to the effort they made by having a good race.I was really focused right from the off and things went well. Thats how things work, sometimes everything goes brilliantly other times things are not so good.Things were perfect in Qatar as I felt like I was moving whilst everyone else was stood still!Pedrosas blog can be found here.
