Pesek renews contract to stay in 250cc

250cc rider Lukas Pesek has confirmed his presence in the 2009 250cc grid, putting pen to paper on a new deal with Auto Kelly –CP Grand Prix Racing. The Czech rider will once again be on the second-tier Aprilia LE machine, and will retain largely the same team structure for the upcoming season. Technical Manager Tommaso Raponi will maintain his current role in charge of Pesek´s quarter-litre efforts.

`I am certainly very happy that we have signed,´ says Pesek. `Now I can work hard over the winter and get prepared for the upcoming season. What is important for me is that now I know what it is about. I would like to move ahead and this is what we all certainly have in common, to move up as much as we can and battle with the factory riders.´

Pesek moved up from 125cc at the start of 2008 after establishing himself as a racewinner, following an extensive learning process in the class. He is presently managed by Davide Brivio, Fiat Yamaha´s Team Manager for Valentino Rossi´s side of the garage and a man keen to aid his Czech rider´s charge for improvement.
