Points for Alice Team at conclusion of tropical adventure
Sunday, 19 October 2008
Sylvain Guintoli and Toni Elias squeezed some points out of the long-haul trip to Malaysia in an extremely hot race at Sepang on Sunday.
The Satellite Ducati reactions to a hard workout at the Polini Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix.
Sylvain Guintoli - twelfth
`I started really badly and I didn´t have much feeling with the front end in the first few laps. Then I got used to it and I pushed more, overtaking Marco Melandri and Alex de Angelis. For how the weekend has gone I can consider myself satisfied. Anyway I hope to do better in Valencia on a track I really like.´
Toni Elias – fifteenth
`This has been one of the most difficult weekends for me. We had so many problems. I apologise to my team for the mistake I made, but I wanted to start in the best way possible. I eventually found a good rhythm, improving lap after lap. I am still hopeful for the Valencia race, I will be at home and I want to do really well.´
