Race statistics for the 250cc Donington contest

- Alvaro Bautista starts from pole for the fourth time in 2008. He has not had a win from his three previous poles this year.

- Marco Simoncelli has not had much success at Donington on a 250cc machine. He finished tenth in 2006 and last year crashed on the second lap but rejoined the race only to crash again on lap ten.

- Hector Barbera´s first ever GP win was at Donington Park in the 125cc class in 2003. Last year he crashed and rejoined the race three times before he finally retired from the race.

- Thomas Luthi´s best finish at Donington is sixth in the 125cc race in 2005 - his World Championship winning year.

- Yuki Takahashi was fourth last year at Donington which was his equal best result of 2007.

- Roberto Locatelli will be making his 200th Grand Prix start; 94 in the 125cc class and 106 on a 250cc machine.
