Red Bull MotoGP Academy completes preseason in Valencia

The riders comprising this year's Red Bull MotoGP Academy intake have completed their preseason training sessions, following two days of hard work at the Valencia circuit.

Under the watchful eye of Raul Jara, one of the leaders of the Academy training programme, the American rider Cameron Beaubier, Briton Danny Kent and German Jonas Folger went through their final preseason outing of 2008 at the Spanish venue.

Indeed, for Beaubier and Kent it was a crucial opportunity for some fine tuning onboard their 125cc KTM machinery, ahead of their respective Spanish national championship (CEV) debuts this weekend at the same circuit.

For 14 year-old Folger meanwhile the exercise was the latest in a series of visits to World Championship venues, which will continue later this month in Mugello, following his recent participation in a French championship race at Le Mans.

Despite some adverse weather conditions in Valencia the Red Bull MotoGP Academy staff have been pleased with recent testing dates, especially following a productive trip to Jerez towards the end of last week.

After five winter tests in total the Academy attendees have covered more than 1200km in preparation for their 2008 adventure, with the real action about to gain momentum as they riders enter various European national championship races.
