Getting closer to the action at a MotoGP World Championship round this season could help get medical aid to African trouble spots, as Riders for Health offer exclusive access passes for each of the 18 races taking place in 2008.

The passes have been made available by the official MotoGP charity and the series rights holders Dorna, for auction on the Riders for Health website.

The final bid for two passes for the Commercialbank Grand Prix of Qatar, the first race on the 2008 calendar, must be placed before 9pm GMT this Sunday. The winning participant and their guest will spend the entire Grand Prix weekend behind the scenes at the first ever MotoGP night race early next month.

Previous paddock pass auctions in 2006 and 2007 have raised overall totals of 20,750 euros and 26,134 respectively, with the highest amount bid for a pass having been set at last years season finale in Valencia. An astonishing 4,400 euros was spent on the exclusive golden ticket for the 2007 season-closer.

Participants are reminded that flights and accommodation are not included as part of the auction. Further information can be found here.
