Some 250cc race statistics

The 250cc category´s interesting points of note at the Pramac Grand Prix of China in Shanghai.
- Aprilia riders have won each of the previous 250cc Grand Prix races at the Shanghai circuit.
- Alvaro Bautista starts from pole for the second time in 2008. He will be aiming to score back-to-back victories for the first time since moving up to the 250cc class at the start of last year.
- Hector Barbera´s win in China in 2006 is his only GP victory since moving up to the 250cc class in 2005.
- Mika Kallio is the first ever KTM rider to lead the 250cc World Championship standings. Kallio won the 125cc race in China in 2006 riding a KTM.
- Julian Simon starts from the front row for the first time since he was third on the grid at Donington last year.
- Mattia Pasini´s victory in the 125cc class at the Chinese GP in 2005 was his first ever GP win.
