Saturday, 28 June 2008
The business end of the grid in the 250cc category comes into the focus of the motogp.com statisticians at the A-Style TT Assen.

- Alvaro Bautista starts from pole for the fifth time in 2008. He has not had a win from his four previous poles this year.
- Hector Barbera starts from the front row for the sixth time in 2008. This is Barbera´s first front row start at the Assen circuit in either the 125cc or 250cc class.
- Marco Simoncelli has finished in the top four at the past six successive races, including five podiums and two victories.
- Alex Debon´s fourth place finish at Assen in 2006 was his best result from the first 106 Grand Prix races in which he competed.
- Aleix Espargaro will be starting from his best grid position (fifth) since moving to the 250cc class mid-way through 2006.
- Mika Kallio (eleventh this Saturday) won at Donington last Sunday from fourteenth on the grid – the lowest qualifying position leading to a Grand Prix victory in the 250cc class since Manuel Poggiali won from 23rd on the grid on his 250cc debut in Japan in 2003.
